Wrongly recognized tx-power on SR5 card

Mon Oct 06, 2008 4:54 pm

I have one SR5 card with MAC address begining with 00:1A and all the rest SR5's with 00:15. I am not sure if this is important at all, but just to mention.

When I read default tx-power settings it begins with 12dBm at 6Mpbs (nothing in the brackets) and so on and on every other SR5 that I have (all with MAC's 00:15) it begins with 25 (19) dBm at 6Mbps.

What is wrong here? Why tx-power settings are not recognized correctly? Something wrong with the card or wrong reading? Is this reading and recognizing based on MAC or just reading chip features?

Some guy mentioned this is probably broken firmware on this card and that it is possible to program the EPROM again, but I can't find any information on this on the Web. Otherwise this card seems to be working normally, except it has lower power.

I tried this on RB-433AH with RouterOS 3.14.
