PPPoE multi session

Mon Nov 24, 2008 4:43 am

Hi,

I have setup PPPoE Server. Now i am facing some difficulties. Single User ID is able to sign in at multiple places at same time, which is obviously i dont want.

I also checked "One Session Per Host" but still same thing.

How can i restrict each ID on signle session.

looking forward for a positive reply.

Yes Sir  , We are also suffering with this issue, No official solution yet! however a workaround is to use a script which will run after every 1 or any given amount of time, and checks for duplicate users and disconnect or disable them.
Look at following link, and see if you can modify it according to your need. http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php ... oe#p135521

AOA,

Dear Zaib bhai,

I think i will be able t modify the script in order for it to work with our environment. However it might take about 1 or 2 week, as i am a bit busy in my own work.

Will mail you as soon as i am done.

This option does not restrict multiple session for users which are created by USER MANAGER.

"one session per host" means "one session from unique MAC"
just install RADIUS server - it can check simultaneous use of unique login
