WDS Bridge Problem

Mon Nov 24, 2008 7:18 am

Hi Guys,

I just upgraded ROS to 3.16 on all my 411's as part of my deployment of IPv6, I'm not sure this has anything to do with my problem though. I have one router with [ether1]-[bridge]-[ap-bridge/wds] that decided to act up today. I could not even mac-ping anything connected to the wlan interface. I did a system-reset and now when I add the dynamic WDS and add the WDS Default Bridge, It does not add the wlan1 interface to the bridge ports like it normally does. If I add it manually it says the port is "inactive" This is totally different behavior than I am used to. I have tried everything I know to no avail.

Please Help -I have 17 clients on this router that are going to be calling in the morning...

Thanks!

OK, after another router going crazy this morning, I have found that the IPv6 package was causing the problem. Again, I'm running RoS V3.16. This router just stopped passing any packets on the wlan interface, and when I logged in from the ether side, all the interfaces were appearing and disapearing constantly. I could not even do a mac-ping to the wlan interface even though the other router showed that it was registered with a good solid connection. I believe this is a bug, is there a bug reporting system other than the forums that I should be using, or where do I go from here?? I would be glad to do further testing on IPv6 if that is needed, and can give access to my routers to mikrotik if needed. Please let me know what I can do. I was hoping to fully deploy IPv6 :)

OK, The first router just started acting up again, I was having to reboot it every 30 seconds before it would just stop passing traffic on the ether1 interface. I just downgraded to 3.13 on that router and I will watch carefully to see if it holds up now.

Anyone with any info, please respond...
