Hi,
i have a problem with a rb 600.
The RB600 is powered at 48 volts but sometimes automatically restarts, and writes:
router was rebooted withut proper shutdown by watchdog timer ....
someone authority may help me?
I do not know what to do, is the only rb that behaves in this way.
Thx to all

This p a very irritating, the RB I tested for a week and I had problems ever since.
Now I am with that stupid card hung 30 meters in height and I again every 20 minutes or so, but the fact is that most beautiful coast replace me 500.00 Euro 300 + + for permits rb600 to 150.00. No, I am sorry but for me Mikrotik is not as reliable as canopy alvarion or at least their first to market their cards to check the fine, thanks Mikrotik.
An imagin of all reboot in one day.

Id have to agree , go to the post listed above and complain about it ther with the rest of us who got jacked on the rb600's. They overheat and because of that they restart all the time, there must have been a bad batch, my reseller wont let me get a rma without bying another one of these first which i think is unfair cuz nothing to say you wont get another bad rb600. I think MT should take these back directly since there have been so many complaints on them posted to the forums , just my thoughts though

if your reseller doesn't take back your board, that's their fault. complain, and call more often, because ALL routerboards are repairable/replacable if there is ANY problem with them that is covered by warranty.

you are running an older version of RouterOS, and also probably an older Bootloader. Make sure you have RouterOS 3.19 and Bootloader 2.18

Hi Normis,
This is the rb in AP mode and I do not by any kind of problem, which rb restart the other side of the bridge, I entered this picture because the application records all rb reboot the client. rb and the client has all updated to the latest version.
I miss just one final test, reducing the frequency of the cpu!

THe policy stats that i have to buy another one at retail cost first while they send in the new one for rma. Im willing to pay shipping and wait for mine to come back without getting one in advance , but they wont even do the rma unless i buy another one from them which i feel is unfair . Especailly when they state if i got another bad one i would have to do the same thing again. Which is why i wanted to send it direct to you guys , i dont want to fork out another 200 for a board i replaced with 2 433s in stead. BUt iwould like my 600 fixed

this will turn into total chaos if we allow individual persons to send back their units, we won't be able to tracke everyting and the return times will suffer even more.
this is why you have to deal with the distributor. if you don't like them - buy next products at a better one. that's called competition. see map:

Thats streakwave's policy, not very friendly when i spend monthly money with the company. Grantid we arent a big company but 500-1000 per month in sales to them and growing , Its kinda hard to try and build a good buinesss relationship with a very local distributer when we have to complain on things like this , but its the princible of the matter right , i mean 200 bucks is 200 bucks. Especally when we own a computer store and wisp, and have attended MT school. Before i even called them , right after we installed this and noticed a problem , we updated firmware and ros version, then we even bought a 48v power supply thinking it was a power issue , after we did that we called them and basically learned we were sol. They say it costs to much to send stuff back to latvia and that it doesnt warrant that cost on an item that they make so little on unless we are gona buy one and wait for a credit when and if they send it back

however, I will only say one thing, is not a problem to replace the RB600 here with me I have 20 other location, the problem that this card has happened in a very critical location and difficult access, therefore, what I say attention first to say that the product is ready to be put on the market, because an unstable may create serious or less serious problems and if I wanted the Unfortunately he was in the most sensitive of the whole network, Then we go my problem is not the RMA but his replacement.

OK i just need to buy the mt stuff elsewher then, cuz i cant take chances on no rma's and dont have the funds to front money up for another product while i wait for a credit, just sucks cant spend money locally. oh well , ty all for your input
Ps yah the 600 i bought was for a brand new apt complex and to have a new account down for 3 weeks while we trouble shot the situation really sucked also , made the new customers really leary of the service when it went up and down from the reboots

you both should contact support @ mikrotik as soon as you can, because this problem with your RB600 is certainly not normal, and maybe we can work it out, or at least find the cause.

OK so i got a response as follows
Hello,
About the RMA issues you should contact with your distributor.
About the RB600 problem, we need the support ouput file from your board.
We have seen some boards rebooting with similar problems, and usually putting a fan on the CPU heatsink solves that. Try to put a fan on the CPU and report back.
Regards,
Uldis
Heh well i sent in my suport output file, i guess im gona have to use someone else for MT equiptment , i feel like i was robbed for 200 bucks, and then its being held hostage for another 200 bucks since buying another one is the only way i can get the previous one fixxed , what a crappy ordeal

If it's got a daughter card on it remove the daughter card and put the mini PCI cards right on the RB600. We have a dozen RB600's, previously had problems with the ones that had daughter boards and 4 cards installed, removed the daughter boards at Uldis's suggestion and no more problems.

Good morning, on rb600 I rf only 2 cards, among other one is disabled and only turn if the principal were to have problems, I have no daughter on it the MiniPCI 2 are connected directly to rb600.
now I have about 3 restarts within 24 hours, but I worry in the summer when the temperature will be higher.
the red arrows are all re-boots of super mega fantastic rb600 stupid.

Hi Uldis,
thx fo your response, i have installed this firmware but after one hour the RB rb has restarted, and this happens when there is much load .. you think I might disable some functions that could work to remove the CPU, since I use this only as a backhaul RB?
Thx in advice
