I have MT routerboard 44 installed in my MT box. How can I configure the interfaces so that I don't have to use a crossover cable when I am connecting one of the routerboard interfaces directly to another pc interface. I will like to use a straight cable to conecct router to pc. If this can be done, please someone advice.

If not I guess I will use a switch b/t the 2 boxes.

This device is suppose to be auto cross over.

Try forcing the port speed. Sometimes autodetect can cause issues..

I know that when I connect the cross over cable to my AP in the test lab or another pc my link and network works fine. When I use the other rought by using a staright cable there is no link.

csickles how do I force the port speed?

Can any one out there shed some light on this problem.

Can anyone help out

My routerboard 44 interface have no link light or network connection when I use a straight cable. I taught it supposed to "MDI/X auto-cross/straight cable support"

The interface only works when I use a cross over cable. Is there anyway changes could be made for the straight cable to work.?
