3 sectors at one location down at the same time

Fri Jan 30, 2009 11:34 pm

I had 3 sectors at the same location go down on Wednesday. I could get into every one of them and do a scan and they would see other locations in town, but not each other. We finally had to go out there and unplug the POE for each and them all came up and cpes reassociated again. For some reason, these radios just quit transmitting. They will scan, but not transmit. You can still get into them just fine. We see the same thing with our client cpes also. Power off for a short while and it is fine again.

Can anyone think of a reason a radio would refuse to transmit?

These AP's are 411a/XR3.7 and my clients are 411/XR3.7

I found a work around. First off you can use sectors unless you use 5mhz channels. Second XR3 fall a sleep. Run a continous bandwidth test to one user all the time. Keeping it a wake. Bad fix but it works.
