email smtp access

hello all
got a stupid question my mail server requires SMTP authentication . how do i send it to the server when i am tring to send a email from MT to my email acount.
ie
x@xyz.com password is 12345
how do i send to passoword and user name for that account

If I remember correctly, this was discussed in the forum (do a search). You cannot authenticate against a SMTP server from MikroTik.
Either send directly to the server where the destination address resides on (then it should accept it even without SMTP auth) or do send via a SMTP server which accepts messages from your MikroTik (like permitting SMTP from its ip address without SMTP auth or the like)...

Hmmm, beats me. Depends on you phone operator. Most allow sending of e-mail to a mobile phone, but if they require SMTP auth - I don't know...
Perhaps just try it?

it helps to own the mail server . i just gave a email address auth. to send from out side my networks . works fine now
