Hello,
Have any body used Mikrotik compression, i have a requirement on a point to point VSAT link.Unfortunately VSAT point to point bandwidth is costly and delay between two points 500 + ms. I was reading a lot about bandwidth compression products, like cisco WAAS, riverbed and expand networks. Has any body tested mikrotik compresson with good results. Please let me know if you come across any bandwidth compression, wan acceleration products other than above cuz they are too costly.
Regards
Atif

This compression is not Mikrotik, it is Atheros compression, used only on wireless links using Atheros chipset, so no use for vsat links.

If you want to reduce traffic over vsat, maybe using a local proxy cache will help?
