Whats the TRUE TX Power on Mikrotik?

I have a XR2 (600mw 28db) card in an RB433. While in "Advanced" mode, the TX power levels show

1Mbps 28 [18]
2Mbps 28 [18]
5.5Mbps 28 [18]
11Mbps 28 [18]

Does that mean 28 or 18??? I wonder because some clients signals are a lot lower than the old AP that had a 500mw amp. If this is a true 600mw should the signal get a little better not worse???

it has 10db offset means the higher numbers are true.

18 means 28 for ubnt cards. but if you wanna change something you HAVE TO input the lower number (real power - 10) to the MT.

Yes, it means that RouterOS configuration will use 13, but the XR card will work at 23. These cards are designed that way

that's like buying stuff sealed in a box and when you get home and open the box you wave 2 instead of one :)

So do I have to force it to the higher db or will the Mikrotik just put it at that as default?

So, if I'm transmitting 54M and the mikrotik says

54Mbps 22 [12]

Is it transmitting at 22 or 12? If I have to I will force it I suppose....

Do NOT force an XR card. Just leave it at the defaults. It is running at 22.
