If I have a cisco router from ATT providing MPLS termination of 20 remote sites can the MT router replace the cisco one?

I have no idea how the circuit is physically terminated at this facility - for sake of this question lets say ethernet.

It depends on what MPLS features and applications are used. Compatibility with cisco routers gets improved all the time, so eventually you should be able to replace.
