Hello All,

I have configure BGP with Mikroti and Cisco without loopback address, which was successful but I when I had used the loopback address than I faced some problems into mikrotik router. I had check the BGP status over Cisco router with loopback that was established and also check into Mikrotik router with loopback I found established.

But I was unable to connect the computers connected to the cisco router however I can able to connect computers connected to the mikrotik router through BGP (from cisco lan).
After that I had check the routing table into the mikrotik I seen there was BGP route but was in blue colour.

Pls suggest me how to configure BGP with mikrotik and cisco with loopback interface.

Thanks in advance
Rosan

Hi,

I think you are receiving bgp routes with wrong next hop address. You have two options
to solve this problem.
1 - if you have access to cisco, try to force next-hop and/or look if your update-source is loopback.
2 - you can make a input filter that foce next-hop to correct IP.

I recommend the 1st option.
