Install on Ubuntu Win7 or dual boot

Thu Sep 03, 2009 9:46 pm

I'm a NEWbie and trying to set up a small hotspot with captive portal. I've got a linux box with Ubunto distro 9.04. On one Hard-drive and Win7 on the second.
First question. Can I install the Router OS without having to wipe the linux or Win7 install.
I see on booting from LiveCD RouterOS 3.2, it gives me a few choices as far as the whole package or not.
Any way to dualboot?. Either shrink partition or use second hard-drive?
Regards.

I suggest you use virtual machine software so you dont have to wipe out your hard disk

That's good advice. I have ever tried. it's work. just bridging betwen your virtual machine and real adapter. Then mikrotik in the virtual machine can be accessed from the other computer.
