What's new in 3.30:
*) added connection-rate matcher;
*) receiving too large frame (>1540 bytes) does not hang ether1 on RB4xx;
*) fixed ping - value of 'src-address' was ignored since 3.23;
*) api - limited maximum allowed word length to 65536;
*) fixed IPv6 Router Solicitation message handling;
*) special-login - port could remain used by 'special-login' even after
user logged out. fixed;
*) bonding in active-backup mode and arp link monitoring works when no switch
between endpoints;
*) routing, routing-test - fixed route redistribution crash;
*) ups - show voltage in .01V units;
*) console - 'torch' and 'wireless scan' commands have new argument
'duration' that approximately limits running time of the command;
*) api - 'torch' and 'wireless scan' commands now return same values
in '!re' responses as in console (before they didn't return
anything), '.proplist' is also correctly handled;
*) fixed problem - sometimes netinstall did not show new software id;
*) added support for BGP aggregates from IGP routes;
*) user manager - no backup for deleted logs;

yahooo!!!! Torch is here, in API! many thanks =)
btw, why limited maximum allowed word length in API?.. your specification allows much more =)
'Although this scheme allows encoding of length up to 0x7FFFFFFFF, only four byte length is supported.'
by fact, only two-byte length is supported =)

3.30 torch runs in promiscuous mode. When using VMWare Bridge Protocol (
) you bridge is actually one collision domain - you see everything that passes the host interface. This bnll5hit is entirely a VMWare design mistake that the developers turned into reality. Laaaame.

I just happened to have one on the bench and I loaded 3.30 on it.
Just for kicks I loaded 3.27 and I got the same results.
Same as any other V3.XX. Too much load on the processor.
Use 2.9.51.

Are you sure? How did you test it? How much bandwidth did it pass through in routing mode? What about when you log off WinBox? And monitor CPU via a telnet session?

Tested on RB532. No difference comparing with other v3 ROS. Back to 2.9.51 also.
Small issue - i can't downgrade from 3.30 to 2.9.51(routerboard log said something like "package is broken"). Have to downgrade to 3.13 first and after that to 2.9.51.
