Hi all.
I have some clients 5ghz connected to an AP.
I use all rb411 (H for AP) and R52 radio.
In some case, a "difficult" user (low signal, i.e. -84) experiece lots of disconnection.

Wath could be the effect of setting la lower data rate to the wlan of this user ?
could this give a better connection ?

thanks.

it should not, you radio shoud automaticly ajust the data rate

but -84dbm is too low in my experiance for a stable conection

In the graphic you can see the effect of limiting the data rate at cpe-side.
You see: tx and rx db remain costants but the ccq rise, and not more dosconnections:

My question is: limiting the data rate at CPE side, causes collateral effects AP side ?

thanks

lowering the data rates could make your link more stable, but really not in this case, the signal is just too bad. you need to find a better positioning for the antenna
