Question on Submap-to-submap link labels

Wed Oct 21, 2009 8:35 pm

Hello,
First, thanks for a great product, I am impressed. Keep up the good work.

I have a question on how to show label information on submap to submap links. I can see the data via tooltips but I can't see a label on the link. Am I missing a setting somewhere to show that? I didn't customize the link, and again, I can view that data on a mouseover tooltip so I know the link is setup correctly.

I run the Dude 3.4.

Thanks,

I am not exactly sure what you are asking, but if you are referring to the tx/rx data you need to set the link as SNMP (like any other), then select the appropriate device you want to pull the data from.

I have done that, I can see the data in the tooltip if I mouseover the link. I just can't see any label on the link. I checked the settings. And if I create a device to device link on the same map the label shows on the link. It is just when I have a submap to submap link that I can't show a label. Again the data is there, but not showing on a label.

Hope this helps clarify it a bit,

Looks like when I closed and reopened the console it caused the links to appear. So maybe chaulk that up to a bug.

All is good,

That's good. My next suggestion was going to be to go into the appearance and in the label box enter:
Rx: [Interface.InBitRate]
Tx: [Interface.OutBitRate]
