Hello

I was wondering how i could make a VPN between my Cisco 871 and the mikrotik at work?

Ipsec will not allow me to add remote-adress="test.dyndns.org"

And i cannot configure Cisco to be a PPTP client to connect to the mikrotik pptp server

So anyone knows how i could trick this? I really don't wanna use microsoft vpn connector with a cisco at hand.

Thank you

As you have a dynamic address you will need to open the peer configuration up to accept connections from any address 0.0.0.0/0 (or the subnet you're allocated your address from). The experiment with the 'Generate Policy' option.

Alternatively, why not configure the Mikrotik to be a client to a PPTP server on the Cisco?

Kind regards

Andrew

if you know how to do a pptpserver on a cisco 871 and make mikrotik works as a client on the cisco router, please explain it

I'm trying day and night right now to make it work. I got stuck here:

Mikrotik send a start session to the cisco,
cisco reply to mikrotik
mikrotik send outgoing-call-request to cisco

and then *poof* no answer from cisco and get disconnected

thanks
