I have experienced sometime the winbox are not able to detect the Routerboard when i using ubuntu 8.04 with wine.

But with windows xp, everything just work fine.

May i know, what's the cause?

Hi, Winbox is only ported to windoze ATM. There are threads asking it be ported to more OS, I use OSX so I understand your problem.

That it works well with wine in some distros of linux is useful though. I've used Lenny and wine to good effect for winbox. Sadly I don't have crossover for mac so I'm having to dual boot.

I use Winbox with Ubuntu 9.10 and have had no problems at all works flawlessly.
