My kingdom for Load Balance!!!

Fri Dec 04, 2009 4:42 pm

Hi folks, after a goooooooooood try of NTH, ECMP and PCC (all the same trouble! 1) Some websites return errors 2) Sistematicly the "ERROR 400: NO WEB PAGE FOUND" on clients 3) No webproxy!) I had ENOUGHT!!!!, I had tree lines

1 ADSL PPPoE (Dynamic)
1 ADSL PPPoE (Fixed IP)
1 Fixed IP

I wan't to know experiences with load balance, and tips of how to make a "GOD" PERSISTENT LOAD BALANCE (to put out some clients from one WAN, and others in another WAN, with a sleeping third WAN for failover)

Currently:

2 AMD PC (2Gb, 160Gb S-Ata, 3Com PCI Ethernet) with ROS 4.2 lvl 4
4 RB411AR (Site array)
1 RB112 (Omni for backup)

That is my equipment, what you recomend?

Hi, I've also had problems with the loadbalancing for a while now even tried 2 PCC configs, the second one is a lot more reliable. My Internet banking is routed through a local ADSL account so that doesn't give any problems but I have had a few random times that the internet goes down or is really really slow and I can't even connect to winbox (could be a hotspot issue though) but anyways.

I would suggest trying another PCC config, this one I'm using now and is much more stable than all the other configs I've done. http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php ... oE#p182891 check out this topic.
Check this link for the config I'm using http://www.mikrotik-routeros.com/?p=12

How many clients are you running the load balancing on?
