Hi!
I have RB433AH, stood in aluminium boxing, worked week. Then the link has disappeared. Has arrived into place and after opening alubox I have detected that RB does not boot. After power supply feed light up LED502, LED503, LED504, LED505. Has connected it through RS232 but on Hyper Terminal outputs nothing.

If you can answer into Russian.

Thanks

How about green user LED( nearly from blue power LED) ? Do you use nullmodem serial cable for RS232 connection ( RX, TX must be crossed ).

Hi there

I have the same thing with a RB/433. When powered on four LED's next to the Mini PCI come on and the two LED's next to the POE port, but nothing on the serial port and no beeps. I then shorted the reset while powering on and the backup bootloader started, I upgraded the firmware and the board will work normally while the reset is held, but not if booted normally. It seemed the main bootloader is gone, my question is can this be reflashed from the backup bootloader?

Cheers, Dale.

backup boot-loader is loaded when you hold down reset button at power up time. If board started with backup loader, upgarde you do with /system routerboard upgrade command will update primary boot-loader (one that used to boot with no additional actions needed)
