I have a 493 board setup with ports 5 through 9 setup with master port 9 switch setup. I am only getting stats on port 9 yet I have all 5 ports connected. I have also seen this on a 750g. Is this new switch function actually doing switching or is it just an easy bridge for people to setup?

Yes, it is actually doing switching. Packets are not sent to CPU, instead forwarding is done in switch-chip.

I have this question as well.... it seems I lose visibility on the ports when I bridge. I have no graphs any more to show how much traffic is going through them. Is there a work around for this?

Please clarify whether you use bridging or switching. It is normal that only master-port of a switching group shows interface stats and status.

I'd like to switch, but I'll bridge if I need to. Right now I'm switched and can't see the traffic (graphs) for anything but Port-0 and the main switch port.
