Tx-power problems on 4.5 and nstreme dual

Tue Feb 16, 2010 11:57 am

Good Morning.
I have a 500 mt link, where previously i tested the 802.11n with dual pol antenna.
802.11n didn't satisfy my needs so i replaced it with dual nstreme. The hardware is: RB433AH + 2x UB5 on both sides. Leaving the tx-power at default i have a -30 signal and awesome link. I'm aware that -30 might burn my cards, so i tried to lower the tx-power. I found that it's not working. If i set card-rates and 17dbi (same as default) the signals go to -91. even if i set it to 1, the signals don't vary and stay at -91... ROS 4.5

Just tested one of our 2N links and the power settings work fine for 411AH, 3.30, all rates fixed, but another running on 4.2. does not work... appears power setting in 4+ are busted..... send a ticket to MT.
