Problem with RB750

Thu Feb 25, 2010 12:15 am

Hi, I'm new to this forum and hope someone can assist me and also i'm not an expert in network. I'm upgrading my existing Linksys WRT54G2 to RB750 and i'm not able to connect to the internet. The Interface tab shows ether1-gateway Configuration in "Searching" state. I have some screenshot of my RB750 and appreciate if someone can assist me. Thanks

what's a docx file? I don't use MS office products, why can't you post screenshots in normal PNG or JPG format?

That's an oxymoron. :)

From your screenshots everything looks fine, but in your second screenshot the setting needs to be "Enabled".
Also please go to terminal and post the output of
/ip addr pr
/ip route pr
/ip fire export
(In code tags please)

Thanks for the reply. I've tried to "enable" it but i still not able to connect to the internet.

This is my first time using the Mikrotik product and i'm not familiar with creating the code tag.
Appreciate if you could advice on this. I'm able to access Terminal mode through Winbox.

Thanks

type these things into the console:

/ip addr pr
/ip route pr
/ip fire export

copy their outputs and paste them here. code tag was meant for forum, not RouterOS.

Here's the output and hoping to get my new RB750 working. Thanks

In IP > Firewall > NAT:
add action=masquerade chain=srcnat comment="default configuration" disabled=no out-interface=ether1-gateway
That rule should be:
add action=masquerade chain=srcnat comment="default configuration" disabled=no out-interface=pppoe-out1

I have pppoe problem with same router except I do not have NAT.

It can connect with WRT54G2 over PPPoE on another provider, but can not connect to Mikrotik.

After "sniffing" the network here is the result

protocol: PPPoED
version... code.... sessionId... payload length = 0c (12 decade).

Other routers... payload length = 10 (16 decade)
