[ASK] License become Level 0 after Format NAND
Posted: Fri Mar 05, 2010 6:50 am
Hi,
I have RB1000 with ROS v3.22 since I bought.
Yesterday, I successfully upgraded it to v4.5.
What I did was :
1. Upgraded the bootloader
2. Upload the .npk to "File"
3. Restart
4. Update the license key.
Everything ran smooth, even the soft ID had updated to 8 digits successfully.
But I saw there was 2 bad blocks.
I know that 2 bad blocks is OK, but yesterday was not a busy day and I had a lot of time in my office so I started to play with format NAND tried to remove the bad block.
What I did it.
1. Console the RB1000
2. Choose 'e' option to format NAND.
3. Connect using Netinstall.
4. Upload the ROS v4.5. (Netinstall)
5. Install the ROS (Netinstall)
6. Reboot
Then I checked the license, it was Level 0 and winbox said that the RB1000 does not have any license and I should buy new license.
I tried to update the license key but failed, it said something about "Wrong SOFT ID"
Did I do something wrong ?
Actually, before I did format nand I did not backup anything or wrote a note about the license. So I do not have any info about the prevous license .
Then I tried to downgrade the ROS.
I tried 3.30, 3.25 and 3.22 but the result was the same.
Then I downgrade to 3.10, and the license shown normal and it has level 6.
But since then, every time I tried to upgrade v3.25 or above, it will failed.
Then I brought the RB1000 to my supplier, they are well known mikrotik distributor and trainer in my country.
And I ask them to upgrade the RB1000, but they failed. Even they have all information about my device, but they still failed and end with the same result.
Then they suggest me to wait their boss coming from MUM till 10 March and they will ask their boss about my problem.
So rather than just wait their boss, I like to know your opinion about my problem.
Any suggestion will be appreciated.
Thank you
