Best way to import map into the background of dude?

Sat Mar 06, 2010 7:33 am

Hello all,
I am new to the dude and am impressed so far. There are so many possibilities! I was wondering if someone could help me with getting a road/aerial map imported into the back of my network map. I don't know if everyone just takes a screen shot of google maps and imports it into the back or what. I would appreciate any help anyone can give. Thanks!

You can use search function, there were posts about that already.
You can capture map screens from Google Maps and stitch them together in one large bitmap. Then you can import it as a background. There are Google Maps downloaders around. Google for them. They can automagically download map tiles for you.

Thanks! I did try searching this forum as well as other I just assumed there may be a better way than stitching several tiles together. Thanks again!

Is there a way to create a Google Earth KML or KMZ file with our maps. That would be sweet.
