I'm trying to make a link of 16 miles. With 2 RB411 and 2 XR9, I'll use 2 antennas per side, an antenna in vertical and horizontal. That is, RX-a/TX-b (A = Horizontal, B = Vertical) My question is this, really makes a difference to use two antennas per interface, and have different polarization to receive and transmit?

PD: Antennas are yagui's of 16dBi

Rather use 2x antennas on 2x interfaces and use nstreme dual

Yes, I know that configuration nstreme and benefits but want to know if this setting makes any difference to use 2 antennas per interface.

The only thing that really comes to mind here is the ability to switch between vertical and horizontal depending on interference.

I have done a 14 mile shot with XR9, 8dBi omni to 13 dBi yagi. The problem was out of band interference, same problem I have with short range shots.

As -headstrong- said above, if I were to run two antennas H and V, I'd have two radios to back them up, either for redundancy or nstreme dual.

Here is the link, the real bandwidth is 3.5Mbps down and 1Mbps up. I will try put 2 antennas for side, in one XR9 for side.

Now the real bandwidth is 5Mbps down and 2Mbps up :D nstreme is really fantastic! :D
