Limit different bandwith to different ip address in queue tr

Hello,

Can you give some guidance of how to limit bandwith and make QoS to different group of users. Specific situation will be, if I have 1M of bandwith and I would like to use a Business plan of 512k for 8 users, and 2 plans of 256k for 8 users each defining priority to the packets for each user with dhcp server?

No, via Static IP...

but thanks anyway, I did it with queue trees and address list

but...just in case, do you know a way to attach an ip address to a mac? , beacuse I did it with the ARP list and it worked, but when I changed the IP at the client's side it worked too...even though it wasn't specified in the ARP list....

Any guidance with this?

Change interface to arp: reply only... That will do the trick :)

But I dont use that BS. I use harder methods like firefall, PPP authentication + address lists + firewall etc.

Hah what do you know. My router is vulnerable to an arp spoof. Damn. I can't wait to have an all RB/250GS network so I could have more control over this wild wild network...
