VLAN trunk over EoIP?

Hello

I have a leased line witch I need to transport a VLAN trunk.
The line is a single VLAN, they cannot give me Q in Q.
MTU on this connection is 1522.

Any way I can transport my VLAN trunk over this line?
Maybe use EoIP?
Is the MTU of 1522 enough to achieve this, what should I set as MTU on the EoIP?

EoIP will fragment packets if MTU exceeds max available MTU on an interface, so the best way is to leave EoIP MTU to 1500.

MTU on interface is 1522.
But can the EoIP tunnel transport my VLAN trunk?
What must the MTU be on the EoIP tunnel to correctly transport the trunk?

Just checking here if this is possible to achieve, before I begin testing :D

Yes EoIP can forward VLAN trunk, it is like regular ethernet interface.

And As I mentioned leave 1500 MTU on EoIP interface. VLANs and everything else will be correctly forwarded.

I can confirm that this works but I had to reboot the boxes after I set up the tunnel, I think disabling or unplugging the ports might have worked too.

Hi,

How do you connect the EoIP with the Ethernet Port? Using a Bridge at both ends of EoIP?
