Mikrotik + Ubiquity (Solved)

Fri May 14, 2010 12:41 pm

I was wondering about the possiblilty of using a UBNT Nanostation M5 to link a router to a HighSite...Unfrtunately time and money are not on my side. I have the M5's set up as basic AP and Station in bridge mode to a Mikrotik AP that then takes care of the rest.

Setup is as follows:
UBNT M5 AP
UBNT M5 Station
Mikrotik 411 lvl4
Mikrotik 433 with 2x WLAN
Mikrotik 433 with 1x WLAN

How would using a link like this change the setup of the Mikrotik AP, would it require adding a gateway route of some sort? The weird thing is it picks up an Unidentified Network and claims it has an Internet Connection. What am i doing wrong? Simple dont mix your kit or networking magic number meant to be in some place?
Please help! :?

Yes, Airmax is their proprietary technology, RouterOS (or any other APs) doesn't support it
