New SNMP MIB file for MikroTik RouterOS

Fri Jun 04, 2010 2:28 pm

We have updated the MikroTik MIB file to be compatible with the validator (http://www.simpleweb.org/ietf/mibs/validate/)

This change also requires that we change one OID:

"Wireless Registration Table Entry Count" will change

From: 1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.1.2.2.0
To: 1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.1.4.0

In next RouterOS releases. Please update your program settings. This will be included in the Changelog as well.

New MIB is attached, and also available here: http://mikrotik.com/download/Mikrotik.mib

Did you expect something else? Maybe I can help. What did you want to achieve?

actually i am using what's up gold for real time graphing (to graph cisco routers) installed on a windows PC with vnc.. i can graph mikrotik using cacti on a linux pc but on what's up gold seems like the Oid is wrong or something, i thought it is because of mikrotik oid or something..

you can use the Dude software, which is made for MikroTik devices.

otherwise, let us know which OID it doesn't like and we will check what's wrong. Show us the problem with a screenshot if you can

it won't work with "same oid as cisco" as it has different oids. you have to go and check what oids you need, for example:

I have a problem which described at http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=41727 with graphing the IPIP interface . it works in Dude but i tried a lots of ways to graph it in Cacti . It does not graph Inbound traffic .

I use OIDs from /interface print oid - MRTG graphs IPIP tunnels just fine =)
