Did you at least TRY to add it as a Windows service? On which Windows version?

Ok now works on small bussiness server
One think: dude appear on process list and not in the services list of task manager.
For Version 3.6 On windows server 2008 R2
When i configure as services
The dude client fails to connect to the server (on the same server)
If I install 4.01 beta on win 2008 R2, install fail in waiting stop server.
If i deinstall 3.6 and reinstall it, all is ok.

I had the same problem on Windows server 2008 with Dude version 4.0 beta2, it would not install as a service until I switched off Windows User Access Control then it installed no problem

Run the dude as administrator, and check in the "as service". Reconnect with the default login and configure again.
