I have read ALL of the posts in here pertaining to monitoring Canopy gear in the Dude. So far I have been able to create a device, create a few probes like Jitter and RSSI and add them as a service. The issue is, the graphs make no sense. Jitter values displayed on the graphs are sometimes in the hundreds and RSSI is too. When I SNMPWalk the Jitter and RSSI values, they are correct. For instance an SNMPWalk on a customer subscriber unit using OID for Jitter reveals a "2". When I use that same OID for the probe and add it as a service to monitor and graph, its starts at nearly 400 then goes to 40, then maybe 1200. Meanwhile the CPE units stats are very steady. ICMP works accurate though. Yaaa. Im new to The Dude so try not to blast me just yet. I also dug in the Canopy forums and couldn't find much. Im using 10.3 on the Canopy and Dude 3.6. I set basic SNMP stuff up on the device and the interface stuff looks accurate on the Ethernet and Wireless side.
Presuming someone can actually help me get this to work, anyone know what to expect for resources trying to monitor about 1,000 subscribers every 10-15 minutes? Were most interested in Power, Jitter and bandwidth over long periods of time (seasonal issues).
Thanks
