VPN connection status still running, but connection is drop

Hi!
My situation is following:
I have 2 routers, for connection to internet each router establish pptp connection. Then one router connect by pptp to second router. first router configured with pptp-server interface, secont router configured with pptp-client interface. all works fine, but internet provider force drop internet vpn connection time-to-time. internet connection on all routers automaticaly established, pptp interfaces for routing between two routers in running state but routing not work before i manually reset them.

how configere routers for stable working?

If I understood correctly you should adjust keepalive timeout on the server.

Default keepalive is 30 secconds, it means after 30 secconds disconnected vpn interface must mark as disconnected, but it stell marked as running

keepalive timeout

Defines the time period (in seconds) after which the router is starting to send keepalive packets every second. If no traffic and no keepalive responses has came for that period of time (i.e. 2 * keepalive-timeout), not responding client is proclaimed disconnected
