am trying a link 70km with a 30dbi antenna.am able to see the other dish signal in -74 but want connect.am using 5 gzh and frequency 5260.
do these antenna have a specific frequency to run on.

At -74dBm, whats the noise floor like, and is that signal the same on both sides of the link? Assuming a signal-to-noise of around 25dB, a connection is definitely possible. Is it not perhaps something simple like access table in the wireless config or the AP? Or a security issue with a WEP key etc?am trying a link 70km with a 30dbi antenna.am able to see the other dish signal in -74 but want connect.am using 5 gzh and frequency 5260.

Using the Xr5, allowing for cable loses of say 2db then at 5260, then you should have -65dbm with System Operating Margin of 9dbm, a tight margin but as you are getting -74, then either:am using a 411rb with an xr5 card on both sides.the spec for the grid 5.4-6 Ghz 30dbi dish antenna 90*70cm parabolic reflector
thanks for the response

Could be that your frequency is a bit off. I would FIRST change you frequency to one that is in range of the antenna.am using a 411rb with an xr5 card on both sides.the spec for the grid 5.4-6 Ghz 30dbi dish antenna 90*70cm parabolic reflector thanks for the response
