How to make 2 subscribers? I tried but no sucess Urgent!!

Thu Jul 22, 2010 7:28 pm

Hello i have made two subscribers, both with owner permissions.
But how do i add both of them to hotspot?

The hotspot and usermanager are running on local router.
I have been able to add one subscriber to work with hotspot,
but when i try to add the second subscriber it fails.

Under the subscriber i go ta add router address, but when i add it it says Address is already in use (probably the address is used by the other subscriber)

Please help me!

For creating a new subscriber
/ tool user-manager customer add login="NEW-Subscriber" password="qwerty" permissions=owner
 / tool user-manager router add subscriber=NEW-Subscriber ip-address=HOTSPOT-IP shared-secret=xxxxxx
You can create more than one...there's no problem with these two rules..

when i input the the second code, i get the error :

Failure: ip address is already used

Subscribers are routers. You can't have two different routers with the same IP address. What are you trying to actually do?

Please help me because i have now a big confusion with accounting.

I am using new user manager-beta version.
I am trying to use 2 subscribers for the same router and on the same hotspot.

1. Subscriber1 would contain profiles( credits) that will be available on the singup page.
2. Subscriber2 would contain profiles(credits) that will not appear at singup, at subscriber2 i could create profiles for individual users as needed.

I created 3 profiles (profiles are called credits in old version of UM) that should be available on the singup page( UM signup page for payments with paypal).

But i have the need to create aditional profiles that are just for my internal use, and they shouldn't appear on the singup page, these profiles are just for individual customers(hotspot users) that i make a deal with (at my internet cafe). So for this individual customers(hotspot users) i have created separate profiles(credits). This new profiles shouldn't appear on the singup page.

In order to do this mikrotik suggested me to create a new subscriber for the profiles which shouldn't be available at singup page.

Right now I am having a mess with accounting because all profiles are under same subscriber, so online users are buying accounts that shouldn be available at the signup page.

Thank you very much if you can help me.

I guess i have solve it now.

i have created a new customer under the subscriber.
I have disabled access to parent profiles for that customer.

Now i can create profiles on that customer which will be only for online signup.
The rest of the profiles will not be visible at the signup page, because they belong to the parent subscriber ( and the customer doesn't have access to parent profiles).

I hope it will work fine like this.

Thank you
