Backhaul using

Sun Aug 15, 2010 11:06 pm

Hi

I am going to set up some backhauls 35Mile 50KM. I have some questions, I am hoping I can find an expert here who can help me.

1. I want to have Full Duplexing Connections So I will use Nstream2 .I want this to be a 150MEG through put In Each Direction so can Nstream2 Deal with the 5Ghz 802.11N 40Mhz channel width

2. When I use Nstrem2 do I have to use to different Antennas/dish .............IE: one for TX and One for RX or can I use a Dual polarity dish and just use the one dish.

Here is what i was thinking of Using for each end of the link

The 3 Foot 32DB Laird HDDA5W Dual Polarity version
RB 433AH
Two R52n-m Mini PCI Cards
And a 5 Wattt Amp

Will this achieve what I am looking to do

Thanks in Advance for your time

First advice, TAKE OUT THE 5 WATT AMP, your signal may be good, but your data rates will suffer, due to the noise.

High data rates are VERY picky when any sort of noise is around. I have a 32 mile link using (2) 3-Foot dishes and the signal is -57db, so I think 35 miles will be fine.

Mountain Top is Mountain Top is the best you can get, I'm not sure what you mean about "Socked In". I'm using SR71-15 cards.

That is what I was going to use if I didnt use an amp just wasnt sure I would get enough through put I am hopping a 100 meg fibre connection so I woul like to get all of it over the link not just 50 megs or something.

I mean it is in the clouds allot

I try SR71-15, they can't give me 150mbps. What RB and ROS version you used? In addition, i have the link 49km with XR5 and i have -59dbm signal, when i change it to SR71-15, ROS show me the -70 only.
