Logging visited urls

Fri Sep 09, 2005 7:00 am

hi guys

I already added a logging to monitor visited url for web-proxy but I want to know which user has visited which website at what time and what was the size and etc... etc...

is it possible? how?

and how can I make a put a user or group of user in a list that will be allowed to visit only certain websites? a client company asked this to restrict their staff to certain websites.

thanks

first you must redirect dst port 80 to your webproxy port (usually 63128)
then enable logging to remote location for web proxy.

good luck.

You can use netflow to see all that kind of information.

netflow will not do private ip, will it?
plus it's going to take a massive amount of resource to host a server that can collect info from let's say, 15000 clients.
that would require static private ip being given to all clients.
is there any other way?
