Routing issues

Wed Aug 25, 2010 3:47 am

This is with a RB750G. It has a number of routes in it and I haven't had any problems until I try to get it to route to a /30 that it's directly connected to. The router can ping it and beyond it but I can't ping the other side of the /30 from any hosts on the network. I've double checked everything and the routes are correct it just won't route packets to that /30

Does the router on the other side have a route back to the clients you're testing from?

Post the routing tables and configuration from both sides.

Yes, there is a route back. I've already double checked the routes. I can ping from from the 750G across the /30 to the other network. The issue is nothing else can ping through the 750G. I've already disabled anything that could block it to check as well.

Without taking a look at your configurations from both sides this is just a guessing game.

Problem fixed itself after a reboot.
