Having a non-hotspot second network on Hotspot interface.

Thu Sep 09, 2010 9:43 pm

Basically what i have here is a 450G connected to my backbone

Eth1 i have a local network for customers in my building set on hot spot - works perfect.

Eth2: This goes up to the roof, where it hits a hub and goes to my ubiquiti Rockets.....

The rockets are on xxx.xxx.71.227, xxx.xxx.71.228, xxx.xxx.71.229, and xxx.xxx.71.230.

The network that I hand out to customers is xxx.xxx.79.xxx, so this is the network i setup as a hotspot on eth2.

When i turn the hotspot active i cant connect to any of the rockets. disable hotspot and i can. I need a way to allow these through and Im pretty sure i tried everything, but im sure there has to be a way here....so someone let me in on how to allow it. Thanks in advance!

Of course, after hours of work trying to figure it out....i post, then 10 mins later I get it. For anyone else that has this problem, its as simple as adding a binding:

Just add the MAC and the address of the unit....leave to address blank.

That should do it.
