Winbox don't connect - Retrieving preferences from

Hi,

I've a RB433AH running the 4.11 RouterOS version and from one week I can't connect on this RB using the Winbox, the system accepts the username and password but when I click to connect I receive the message Retrieving preferences from 192.168.0.1 and after some seconds I receive the message Router has disconnected. In some moments I can connect on it (rarely).

I don't have any firewall rule on this routerboard. The firewall filter list is clean.

I can connect on this router using telnet or ssh without problem, but the winbox stoped to work from some days until today.

How can I solve this???

Thanks in advance

Fabrício

What happens if you connect using the MAC address?
What about connecting to another ethernet port?
Another PC?

Thanks

Try downgrading RouterOS to older version and test again. If you still have the same problem, take it back to your distributor. They should swop it out if they see the same problem.

I had the same problem too ,can't connect to my ROS which is a PPTP client router.

I try winbox and www port, both didnot work .

at last ,I disable the MRRU in the pptp-out1 for the client router, it work correctly!

hope this work.
