Is it possible to get the Dude to send a summary report of everything that is up/down every 6 hours or so?

No but here is an idea, leave the dude running on a panel that would have the information and use a screen capture program to send you an email with a screen capture of the dude. The services panel or the outages panel look like they would work...

receiving emails of screencaptures is the same as just visiting the Dude web configuration page.

it's better to just configure the notifications and receive only notifications of problems.

I see what the OP wants, but there is no such feature yet.
