Voip quality is low, but ccq is between 89 and 100

Hi there people o have a 5ghz link which is about 2km long. Site A has a 27dbi 5 GHz grid, r5h mini pci card and an rb433.

Site B has a 24dbi 5 GHz grid, r52h mini pci card and an rb433.

Site A is located near a river, so it is much lower than site B

My problem is that the people from site A say that their voip quality is sometimes very low. What I tried was is to set both sides to use 12mbit data rates. And the ccq is 100/100 when no traffic is moving. But when there is traffic then the ccq will jump between 89 and 100.

The signal strength is between -62 and -80, TX signal strength is between -69 and -82.

Signal to noise is between 22dbi and 36dbi

The client does not reconnect or loss connection. Traffic usage is very low on the connection.

I don’t know what else I can do. The mounting poles are already at maximum height and secured with stay wires.

Oh yes I also use l2tp tunnelling to allow remote site to run on same ip range.

PS: there might be some trees in the way, I am not sure.

try to lock datarates at up to 36MBit both sides

then signal fluctuating ist not as much - hoppfully it will be better.

My pbx uses port 6000 udp so i edited the mangle rules and made port 6000 connections priority1(time critical). So far it is working gr8.
