VLAN interface + proxy-arp

Mon Jan 31, 2011 7:12 am

Hello guys good morning to all

I was planning to create a multiple Vlans example vlan10,20,30,40 and 50 in 1 interface now it come to my mind a little confuse, in my current RB setup i have ether1=wan then the rest all local port with different subnet now i have my vpn connected to ether2 which is this interface proxy-arp is enable so all vpn traffic will pass to ether2 local network im right? so my question is what if i create 5 vlans in 1 interface and the proxy-arp is enable so all vlans will enable as proxy-arp too because they are same interface correct me if im wrong, my concern is i want only the vlan10 as proxy-arp and the rest is not it is possible?

Thanks

router deal with Vlans as interfaces so to enable vpn to pass to a VLAN you need to enable proxy-arp for this vlan
