Redundant Link

Tue Feb 22, 2011 6:09 pm

I have got two RB411 working as AP bridges and another RB411 working as station. Right now station is connected to one of the AP bridge. Is there any way that i could make second AP bridge a redundant link. So that if the original link fails, my station automatically switch over to the second AP bridge and connection is still established between the two. I know that if both AP bridges will work on same frequency then they will interfere but is there any way to do this????

but why wld u like to do it. r those two AP's located at distant locations and have LOS clear with the station.

Do u get the same throuput no matter which ever direction the station faces.

If it is a PtP link advisable to have two stations from two different AP sources to get the best thruput n result. If u need redundancy putting a little extra cost for another station shld not matter much.
