Wireless Distribution

Mon Mar 21, 2011 8:20 pm

i would like to know is there any other way other than WDS to distribute internet wirelessly??

since WDS cuts the speed by half everytime it is repeated. i would like to keep the speed up, as i will have a quite number of users connecting to these units.

I don't understand what you want to achieve, and why you think WDS cuts speed in half (not true). Please draw a network diagram so we can understand your setup

i would like to but internet across a small campus using WDS. i have already got it setup like this in drawing but i have some complaints about it being slow. i have been told that every WDS box i put up cuts the speed in half. i need to get this set up working perfectly as i will be using similar setup that will consume much more bandwidth.

the wds master router does most the of the work, dhcp for all clients, queueing if neccessary.
