I have Intel PC with Mikrotik routerOS v4.17. I have put the files for v5.0 using ftp and restart the computer but the RouterOS didn't upgrade as usual and he files stayed there.

what's the problem?

Note: I used all packages files not the combine package file.
Note2: my license is upgradeable to v7.x

Check log entries. if there are nothing about the packages, check that you put those packages in root directory.

nothing about the upgrade in the log entries. I put the file in the main directly as I used to do when I upgrade. Now I will tr the combined package. I used to use the combined package until one time it didn't have the hotspot part and I start using all packages instead.

if there is nothing in the log, apparently your packages are not uploaded, or are in the wrong folder. they need to be in the root folder

they are uploaded and it is in the correct folder. I did upgrade before from v4.16 to v4.17. I don't know why can't I upgrade from v4.17 to v5.0

before I put the files in root folder and wait for the update to be down at the time I schedule the shutdown (then after a minute there is timer for power shutdown and then after 15min a schedule for power on). Last week there was a problem that the server doesn't power up without the button after power is on. However after removing the scheduled system shutdown and just leave the electricity timer to shutdown the server suddenly and power on suddenly the server works but this seems effect the upgrade.

Therefore, today and I saw there was few users, I reboot the system from winbox and the upgrade works

yes, for upgrade to work, you need to use the reboot command, not just power reset
