My name is David. I have just started internet service to custommers using routerboard 750 and wriless antennas. As I am new in this subject, I need some help in some topics.
At this time internet trafic bandwidth is 6 MB. I am picking custommers every day. I have desided not to limit speed for custommes in order to allow them fully use spare internet trafic. And here is my question: Say, one custommer is downloading a large file, with 5 MB speed and another custommer started to download another file. will the trafic be equally devided between them immediatelly or not? Is this policy accrptable?

Does it means that, until the file download completes, the first user will keep its 5 MB/Sec speed and only the rest 1 MB/Sec will be allocated to the second user?

I have 50 custommers. I would like to give 1Mb max limit and 512 Kb min. limit for each custommer. PCQ allows only max limit. What is the best way to do rhis?

Make a queue of PCQ type with limit-at (CIR) set to 50 * 512kb, and max-limit set to 50 * 1mb.

Alternatively make 50 queues, but managing that is no fun and the router will run at considerably higher utilization.

Sorry, whai is a que of PCQ type? Does it affect all users together or separatelly?
I have one suggestion, and please express your opinion. I mangle connection from my users, but with "passthrough=no"; Then I marke pakets of this connection with "passthrough=yes". In simple queue I will set max limit and limitt at values and piont paket marks. Will it work?
