I like the idea but like many things this has already been done, The "Probe Thread" already has a few years of this discussion.

The only issue I have with it is some of the first items. They work but they are not as accurate as things much later in the thread.
It is a long read but you will be much better at building probes if you read and understand most of it.
Also look at the wiki for some really well thought out probes and ideas.
