Manually add IPv6 neighbors

Hello!

I have a question regarding RouterOS 5.2. Is it possible to manually add entries to the IPv6 neighbors table? By that I mean MAC address mappings for unicast IPv6 addresses. It is possible to add entries into ARP table for IPv4but the neighbor table for IPv6 seems to be read only.

It is crucial that we have this functionality as our provider does not support ND on the link. We were provided their router's IP address along with the MAC address to manually add the IP to the table, which I am unable to do.

I tried to workaround the issue by using fe80:: address with encoded MAC address as route gateway, but instead of forwarding to the destination, the address just showed up in the neighbor list with status "failed".

Are there any other ways to workaround this? Or maybe I am missing something.

Regards,
Tibor

I hate to bump my own post, but this is kind of urgent. Any word on this functionality either being implemented or a known workaround? I Googled almost any single phrase that could be related to my problem, to no avail...

Thank you!

I do not believe it's possible, and do not think there is a workaround.
Try emailing support if you need an official answer.

We have similar problem... some neighbors don't resolve and list with failed in ipv6 - neighbors.

Any solution?
