transparent bridge

Thu Jul 21, 2011 1:00 pm

hello,

we can bridge two networks transparently by following methods
1. WDS
2. MPLS/VPLS said to be 60 percent more faster.
3. EoIP

question: why we mostly use WDS in compare to other methods.

i have try to use MPLS/VPLS using 2 groove-5H-n i m able to see 45 Mbps one sided throughput but its highly unstable it jumps back to 20, then again go high upto 25.. lot of variation why?

thx reagrds

the wds is more straight forward and easy to make it.
but, in fact, the cpu speed will one of the main issue you need look into it.
