RB750 HOTSPOT IP SCANNER AND MANUAL ADSL PROBLEM

Sun Jul 24, 2011 1:19 pm

Dear Sir,

I am using RB750 and i make the hotspot but the problem is when i start ip scanner or scan ip's from netscan its shows me the alive ip's with the Router Board's Interface Mac Address on every IP. Second thing is my Lan Interface having 172.16.1.1/24 and wan interface ip having ip 192.168.1.10/24 and my route gateway is 192.168.1.1. and i need to use my another adsl modem in the local network i set the ip address of my adsl modem is 10.10.10.1. Now if i want to use my adsl services on my windows xp with the manual ip method
ip address = 10.10.10.100
subnet mask = 255.255.255.0
default gateway = 10.10.10.1
preffered dns = 10.10.10.1
Mikrotik Hotspot page appears and asking login and password.
Kindly Please Solve this Issue i really need to use my adsl for my personal downloading.
and kindly tell me the Solution for Net Scan or for ip Scanner.

Remove the address pool from the Hotspot to turn off Universal NAT, which also kleeps the Hotspot from doing proxy ARP.

Post the output of "/ip address print detail", "/ip route print detail", "/interface print", "/ip firewall export", "/ip hotspot export", and an accurate network diagram.

If you have the two DSL modems connected to the same router, and have a Hotspot configured on an interface on the same router and are behind that Hotspot interface of course the Hotspot is going to intercept your traffic. The only path from the client to the second DSL modem is through the Hotspot interface, after all.

Change your network design so that the second DSL modem is available to the client without passing through the Hotspot interface.

That still shows address pools on the Hotspot server as well as the user profiles. I suggested to remove them on July 25th. Do that.

That looks better.
You reported this issue:

With the new configuration as you posted it just now that problem should be fixed.
